Henry Louis Gates Jr. Has Some Real Issues

July 30th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr., one of the nation’s pre-eminent African-American scholars, was arrested Thursday afternoon at his home by Cambridge police investigating a possible break-in. The incident raised concerns among some Harvard faculty that Gates was a victim of racial profiling.

He was booked for disorderly conduct after “exhibiting loud and tumultuous behavior,” according to a police report. Gates accused the investigating officer of being a racist and told him he had “no idea who he was messing with,” the report said.

Obama got into the middle of this before he even knew the details. But then again, do you really expect Barry to READ a police report when he hasn’t even read the Healthcare Bill?

The only people who were being racist were Henry Louis Gates Jr. and Barry Obama.

John Kerry Is A Joke

June 25th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

John Kerry added to his long list of lame joke attempts yesterday when he wished South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s disappearance on Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

Speaking to some business and civic leaders he had invited to Washington, Kerry said: “Too bad if a governor had to go missing it couldn’t have been the governor of Alaska. You know, Sarah Palin.”

He should talk. He’s his own walking punchline.

So Mr. Kerry, let’s look at you:

“John Kerry went duck hunting and he’s doing that to fulfill his campaign pledge to hunt down the ducks and kill them wherever they are. Kerry did pretty well; he came back with four ducks and three Purple Hearts.” —David Letterman

“Last week, Senator Kerry was eight points behind President Bush, today he is three points ahead. Is this the kind of indecision we want in a president?” —Announcer in a mock Bush-Cheney ad, “Late Show With David Letterman”

“We make jokes about it but the truth is this presidential election really offers us a choice of two well-informed, opposing positions on every issue. OK, they both belong to John Kerry, but they’re still there.” —Jay Leno

“John Kerry met with the AARP. They were having their convention. He gave a speech, then Kerry introduced his retirement plan — his wife, Teresa.” —Jay Leno

“Bush and Cheney say now they’re targeting people who can’t make up their minds, so apparently they’re trying to get John Kerry’s vote as well.” —Jay Leno

“John Kerry says the ‘W’ in George W. Bush stands for ‘Wrong.’ But he still can’t explain what John Kerry stands for.” —David Letterman

“On the campaign trail, the president continued what has been a theme throughout the year: John Kerry is a flip-flopper. Oh, and also consistently liberal.” —Jon Stewart

“Vice President Dick Cheney attacked John Kerry. He said that John Kerry ‘lacks deeply held convictions.’ Today Kerry shot back, he said, ‘That’s not completely true.'” —Jay Leno

“John Kerry announced a fool-proof plan to wipe out the $500 billion deficit. John Kerry has a plan, he’s going to put it on his wife’s Gold Card.” —Craig Kilborn

“They say John Kerry is the first Democratic presidential candidate in history to raise $50 million in a three-month period. Actually, that’s nothing. He once raised $500 million with two words: ‘I do.'” —Jay Leno

“This is so weird. I saw the new John Kerry campaign commercial and he says, ‘I’m John Kerry and I approve of this message — if I have one.'” —Craig Kilborn

“The White House began airing their TV commercials to reelect the president, and the John Kerry campaign is condemning his use of 9/11 in the ads. He said it is unconscionable to use the tragic memory of a war in order to get elected, unless of course, it’s the Vietnam War.” —Jay Leno

“There was an embarrassing moment at a recent Democratic fundraiser. When John Kerry was handed a $10 million dollar check, he said, ‘I do.'” -Craig Kilborn

“John Kerry and Ralph Nader met face-to-face, it was a historic meeting. Astronomers said today their meeting actually created what is called a ‘charisma black hole.'” -Jay Leno

“John Kerry accused President Bush of catering to the rich. You know, as opposed to John Kerry who just marries them.” -Jay Leno

SCARE FORCE ONE

April 30th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

A Boeing 747 that serves as an Air Force One backup and two F-16 fighters escorting it caused a panic among office workers at the World Financial Center in lower Manhattan as large numbers evacuated the buildings. The incident was also spurred evacuations in Jersey City across the Hudson River from Manhattan. In Jersey City, construction workers were evacuated from a condominium tower under construction at 77 Hudson Street.

The workers, who were on the 32nd floor of the construction site, said the plane circled three times past the Goldman Sachs tower, the tallest building in New Jersey. On the second pass, they said, the jet appeared to be only a few dozen feet from the building — close enough to clip the side of the skyscraper. A fighter followed right behind, mirroring its moves.

You cannot convince me that King Barry knew nothing of this stunt. He said he didn’t know about it and that when he found out was furious. Yet according to CBS NEWS there was an FAA Memo: Feds Knew NYC Flyover Would Cause Panic and Threatened Federal Sanctions Against NYPD, Secret Service, FBI & Mayor’s Office If Secret Ever Got Out. What is THAT all about?

This “photo op’ terrorized an entire city which if you recall was ATTACKED on 9/11/01. I know, I was there.

In my opinion, this “Photo Op” was an act of domestic terrorism. When you scare the hell out of 9 million Americans and have buildings evacuated, that’s not my idea of a “photo op. That is an act of terrorism.

White House Military Office Director Louis Caldera apologized for the fear and disruption that the incident caused. He said he took full responsibility. Caldera representing the White House was quick to apologize. However, where does the buck stop? It stops on Barry’s desk in the oval office.

Terrorism is, most simply, policy intended to intimidate or cause terror. It is more commonly understood as an act which is intended to create fear (terror), is perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a materialistic goal or a lone attack), and deliberately targets (or disregards the safety of) non-combatants. Media exposure may be a primary goal of those carrying out terrorism, to expose issues that would otherwise be ignored by the media. Some consider this to be manipulation and exploitation of the media.

The United States Department of Defense defines terrorism as “the calculated use of unlawful violence or threat of unlawful violence to inculcate fear; intended to coerce or to intimidate governments or societies in the pursuit of goals that are generally political, religious, or ideological.” Within this definition, there are three key elements—violence, fear, and intimidation—and each element produces terror in its victims.

The terrorists take great pains to foster a “Robin Hood” image in hope of swaying the general public’s point of view toward their cause. This sympathetic view of terrorism has become an integral part of their psychological warfare and needs to be countered vigorously. Isn’t that exactly what Barry is doing? Acting like Robin Hood? “Spread The Wealth Around”?

I honestly believe that the guilty parites involved in this stunt should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law for domestic terrorism.

God Bless America

January 12th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

A friend sent this along. It was just too good not to post.

Many believed this day would never come, but in a few short days, an African American man will move from his private residence into a much larger and infinitely more expensive one owned not by him but by the taxpayers. A vast lawn, a perimeter fence and many well trained security specialists will insulate him from the rest of us but the mere fact that this man will be residing in thishouse should make us all stop and count our blessings – because it proves that we live in a nation where anything is possible.

Today, I  thank the Lord above that I am an American and that I live in a nation where wrongs are righted, where justice matters and where truly anything is possible.

Who is this man, you ask?  See below.

Learn English Or Go To Jail

March 27th, 2008 by Rich Szabo

From Associated Press

An Eastern Pennsylvania judge known for creative sentencing has ordered three men to learn English or go to jail.

Luzerne County Judge Peter Paul Olszewski Jr. said the men, who faced prison for criminal conspiracy to commit robbery, can remain on parole if they learn to read and write English, earn their GEDs and get full-time jobs.

Olszewski noted that the three men, Luis Reyes, Ricardo Dominguez and Rafael Guzman-Mateo, plus a fourth defendant, Kelvin Reyes-Rosario, all needed translators in court when they pleaded guilty Tuesday.

The four, ranging in age from 17 to 22, were in a group that police said accosted two men on a Wilkes-Barre street in May. The two said they were asked if they had marijuana, told to empty their pockets, struck on the head, threatened with a gun and told to stay off the block.

The judge sentenced the four men to jail terms of four to 24 months. But he gave Reyes, Dominguez and Guzman-Mateo, who already had served at least four months, immediate parole. Reyes-Rosario remains imprisoned on an unrelated drug charge.

Attorneys for the men said they were studying the legality of the ruling and had not decided whether to appeal. One of the attorneys, Ferris Webby, acknowledged that the ruling was good for his client, Guzman-Mateo.

“My client is happy,” Webby said. “I think it’s going to help him.”

Olszewski ordered the three to return with their parole officers in a year and take an English test.

“If they don’t pass, they’re going in for the 24 (months),” he said.

The judge noted that no one objected to the sentences on Tuesday.
If anyone thinks learning English is not a good thing, he said, “I’d love to hear from them.”

Olszewski said it would help the men get a GED, and a job.
“Do you think we are going to supply you with a translator all of your life?” he asked them in court.

Olszewski is known for outside-the-box sentencing.

He has ordered young defendants who are school dropouts to finish school. He often orders defendants to get full-time employment. But he also has his staff coordinate with an employment agency to help them find the jobs.

In this case, Olszewski said, “There’s no way young kids can be hurt by knowing how to read and write the English language.”

I think that this was great! Finally someone who has it together. However, I feel the judge should have taken one more step and put them in jail until they could read, write and speak English.

Drug Test Congress

March 25th, 2008 by Rich Szabo

Since there is drug testing in corporate america and professional sports I was thinking that a great way to cut the national spending would be to have mandatory drug testing fro ALL welfrare recipients.

Can you just imagine. Fail the test, you don’t get a check.

Think of the billions of dollars this country could save by having mandatory drug testing for welfare recipients. The only drag is the ACLU thinks it’s unconsitutional to drug test welfare recipients.

Then take it a step further. How about mandatory drug testing for all elected officials.. I would love to see the United States Congress tested. Think about all the stories that have hit the news over the years regarding Congressmen, Senators and even a guy who said “I didn’t inhale”.

The NCAA has drug testing

High Schools have drug testing

Congress proposed a law regarding high school drug testing

The PGA has drug testing

The NFL has drug testing

Major League Baseball has drug testing

I don’t know about you, but I want elected officials, judges, law enforcement to be law abiding citizens. Why is there a double standard?
