The Obama Dog & Pony Show

February 25th, 2010 by Rich Szabo

The only thing the BO Show or “Health Care Summit” is showing so far is Obamas’ clueless arrogance.

Democrats: about 74 minutes Republicans: about 37 minutes. One third time Democrats, One third time Republicans, One third time Obama. I guess he doesn’t count as a Democrat. The reason why Obama’s speaking time doesn’t count is because, when he talks he is not saying anything. Please understand that the President needs more time than others, because he’s new.

Obama is looking really, really bad. The Republicans came to the meeting prepared. Obama is trying to wing but he can’t carry it off because he left his teleprompter home.

Barry is taking a page out of Sales 101: When you are selling a great product it will sell itself and requires minimal presentation. Present your product and let it sell itself. When your product is sub par it requires longer presentation filled with bells and whistles and other distractions. The distractions allow you to make an easy close because the buyer is overwhelmed by the presentation.

Even though they’ve gotten half the time, the Republicans have put forth an incredibly well prepared front. They shot down Baucus when he claimed healthcare savings accounts were in the Dem’s bill. Republicans pointed out by page number just how much the bill eliminates many of the benefits currently enjoyed by those with healthcare savings accounts. Obama had to quickly come to the Dem’s rescue and forbid the Republicans from actually pointing out the facts of what is hidden in this 2,500 page piece o’ pooh! If you support it you shouldn’t be afraid to have it made public. Unless of course there is something you don’t want the American public to know, which appears to be the case.

Every time someone tried to discuss problems with the bill, Obama would interrupt and say “we are here to discuss what we agree on not what we don’t like”. That’s not open dialogue. That’s driving the conversation your way.

Lamar Alexander was paraphrasing from a recent CBO report. After, Odumbo lied and claimed Alexander was wrong, the Republicans actually started reading verbatim the CBO report, which proved Alexander was right and Obama was wrong. It really made Barry look like the pathetic liar that he is.

“I’m pretty certain I’m not wrong.” said Obama. Pretty certain isn’t good when you’re dealing with $1 Trillion dollars. But then again it’s not his money.

The estimate from the CBO specifically shows that premiums will increase by 10-13% by 2016. Pardon Sen. Alexander for stating clear, concise facts.

If they are so sure about this Bill then why are they so apprehensive and dominating the allotted time to speak? If anything the Republican’s should be speaking more because they are not the one’s who wrote the bill, after all it was the Democrats. If you are truly sure about something, you shouldn’t have to be defending constantly, you should be listening and clarifying all doubts. Instead they are dominating time and not allowing the other side to talk and bring up their views.

Obama’s Show and Tell isn’t working out the way he planned, because the Democrats are showing way too much, and their lies and tactics are so telling. What happens when you televise corrupt Democrats on TV? You get to see it!

The Republicans have sat down at a crooked poker table run by a master Mississippi Riverboat gambler named Obama. He’s already insulted John McCain, dealt the Republicans half the speaking time, and patronized everyone on the opposite side of the table. He and his band of rogues are going to ram his bill through next week anyway.

The Obama Transparency

January 17th, 2010 by Ted Silberstein

Barak Obama’s latest healthcare prison yard shiv is in-your-face BELIEVABLE. Only the UNIONS will not be taxed on their “Cadillac” health insurance policies, while anyone not in a union will be taxed. If you’re not in a union it’s Pound Sand, or should we say Pay Sam. Unions off the hook for the tax purely in exchange for political support of Democrats. To all those who are knocking Barak Obama and his Democrat machine for not being transparent, I say you don’t get the irony. To the contrary, they have never been so flagrantly transparent as to what they are than ever before. This is totally out in the open, in the store front for all to see, pure unadulterated Boss Tweed, Tammany Hall, smoke filled back room gutter politics at its absolute zenith. A deal made not only with a special interest group, but with UNIONS – special interest groups on steroids. And they don’t care who knows it. You can’t get anymore transparent than that. It conjures up the chilling words of Ash the android in the movie Aliens, describing his admiration for the malevolent alien. Ash could have been describing the Obama machine to us bewildered conservatives when he bragged – “You still don’t know what you’re dealing with do you? Perfect organism. It’s structural perfection is matched only by its hostility. I admire its purity of survival, unclouded by conscience, remorse or delusions of morality.” Now that’s transparency.

Nicely played indeed Mr. Obama. We bow to the evil master, we didn’t know you had it in you.

SOCIAL SECURITY FACTS

November 16th, 2009 by Ted Silberstein

Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn’t know this. It’s easy to check out, if you don’t believe it. Be sure and show it to your kids. They need a little history lesson on what’s what and it doesn’t matter whether you are Democrat or Republican.

Facts are Facts!!!

Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social
Security (FICA) Program. He promised:

1.) That participation in the Program would be
Completely voluntary,
No longer Voluntary

2.) That the participants would only have to pay
1% of the first $1,400 of their annual
Incomes into the Program, Now 7.65% on the first $90,000

3.) That the money the participants elected to put
into the Program would be deductible from
their income for tax purposes each year,
No longer tax deductible

4.) That the money the participants put into the
independent ‘Trust Fund’ rather than into the
general operating fund, and therefore, would
only be used to fund the Social Security
Retirement Program, and no other Government program, and, Under Johnson the money was moved to The General Fund and Spent

5.) That the annuity payments to the retirees
would never be taxed as income.
Under Clinton & Gore Up to 85% of your Social Security can be Taxed

Since many of us have paid into FICA for years and are
now receiving a Social Security check every month —
and then finding that we are getting taxed on 85% of
the money we paid to the Federal government to ‘put
away’ — you may be interested in the following:

Q: Which Political Party took Social Security from the
independent ‘Trust Fund’ and put it into the
general fund so that Congress could spend it?

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the democratically
controlled House and Senate.

Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax
deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding?

A: The Democratic Party.

Q: Which Political Party started taxing Social
Security annuities?

A: The Democratic Party, with Al Gore casting the
‘tie-breaking’ deciding vote as President of the
Senate, while he was Vice President of the US

Q: Which Political Party decided to start
giving annuity payments to immigrants?

AND MY FAVORITE:

A: That’s right!
Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party.
Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65,
began to receive Social Security payments! The
Democratic Party gave these payments to them,
even though they never paid a dime into it!

Then, after violating the original contract (FICA), the Democrats turn around and tell you that the Republicans want to take your Social Security away!

And the worst part about it is uninformed citizens believe it!
If enough people receive this, maybe a seed of
awareness will be planted and maybe changes will
evolve. Maybe not, some Democrats are awfully
sure of what isn’t so.

But it’s worth a try. How many people can YOU send this to?

Actions speak louder than bumper stickers.

AND CONGRESS GIVES THEMSELVES 100% RETIREMENT FOR ONLY SERVING ONE TERM!!!

A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have.
-Thomas Jefferson

CONGRESS IS EVADING THE HEALTHCARE ISSUE STILL!

October 7th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

I recently sent our Congressjerk Paul Kanjerkski an email asking a very simple yes or no question. The question I posed was “Do you feel that Congress should be required to accept the same health insurance plans you are proposing for the public?” Here is the response I received today:

Paul Kanjorski

October 7, 2009

Mr. Richard Szabo
XXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXX

Dear Mr. Szabo:

Thank you for informing me of your support for requiring Members of Congress to join the public health insurance option if health care reform legislation becomes law. I appreciated hearing from you on this important issue.

Obtaining health insurance at an affordable price has increasingly become a major concern for many American families. From my perspective, health care costs for everyone will decrease when everyone has health insurance. Too many of the estimated 47 million Americans without insurance rely on trips to the emergency room when they are very sick rather than see a doctor routinely to stay well. Despite our lack of universal coverage, Americans spend more per capita on health care than any other major industrialized nation. Approximately 17% of our Gross Domestic Product is spent on health care, or about $2.5 trillion each year.

The expense of providing health insurance benefits to workers has become one of the most pressing concerns for employers. Small businesses especially struggle to provide health insurance for their employees, and we should work to make this coverage more affordable. Small businesses currently employ about half of working Americans, yet an estimated 27 million of the 47 million uninsured Americans are small business owners and their employees.

We must also work to ensure that Medicare continues to provide seniors and the disabled with comprehensive care, while making minor adjustments to the program. I believe that seniors should receive a streamlined, affordable prescription drug benefit directly through Medicare just as they do for traditional hospital and physician coverage. In addition, we should work to eliminate the coverage gap in the program, known as the “donut hole”. Medicare should also be able to negotiate with drug companies for better prices the way the VA currently does. These changes would help bring down costs for seniors.

As you may know, the Congress is currently considering legislation to reform our health care system. In the House of Representatives, Congressman John Dingell of Michigan introduced H.R. 3200, the America’s Affordable Health Choices Act on July 14, 2009. Among its many provisions, this legislation would make reforms to insurance coverage like requiring insurers to provide coverage for pre-existing conditions; would create a voluntary government-run insurance plan; would establish a health insurance exchange to provide information about plans available in a certain area; and would improve the Medicare prescription drug program by closing the donut hole.

The three committees of jurisdiction have reviewed H.R. 3200 and each committee has made changes to it. These changes will ultimately have to be reconciled into one bill before the House of Representatives can vote on it. Please know that I am currently reviewing H.R. 3200 and the changes proposed by these committees.

In addition, committees in the Senate are also crafting health care reform legislation which differs significantly from H.R. 3200. As a result, members from the House and Senate will likely have to engage in a conference committee to resolve any differences between a House-passed bill and a Senate-passed bill. I expect that any bill which reaches the President’s desk for signature will be significantly different from the legislation introduced in the House of Representatives.

As you may know, there is much confusion about the health care reform legislation. In order to provide individuals with accurate information, I have posted documents about H.R. 3200 on my website at http://kanjorski.house.gov. In addition, I recently held a telephone town meeting about health care reform and the audio recording of this meeting is also available on my website. I hope you will review this information and continue to share your thoughts on this matter.

Again, thank you for contacting me. Please feel free to call, write or email me again on this or any issue that concerns you.

Sincerely,

Paul E. Kanjorski
Member of Congress

I cannot guarantee the integrity of the text of this letter if it was not sent to you directly from my Congressional Email Account: If you have any questions about the validity of this message, please call my Washington, DC office at: 202-225-6511. Please note, this mailbox is unattended. Please do not reply. If you wish to email me again, please click on–“Contact Me“.

So where is the simple “yes” or “no” answer? Hmmmmm?

This guy is a good soldier and following all the talking points. Never ANSERING a question. I’m disgusted!

House of Representatives Resolution 615 (HR 615)

September 17th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

On Tuesday, the Senate health committee voted 12-11 in favor of a two-page amendment, courtesy of Republican Tom Coburn which would require all Members of Congress and their staff members to enroll in any new government-run health plan.

Congressman John Fleming (Louisiana physician) has proposed an amendment that would require Congressmen and Senators to take the same health care plan that they would force on us. (Under proposed legislation they are exempt.)

Congressman Fleming is encouraging people to go to his Website and sign his petition. The process is very simple. I have done just that at:
http://fleming.house.gov/index.html
Please urge as many people as you can to do the same!

If Congress forces a “health care plan” on us, they should have to accept the same level of health care for themselves and their families.

Nancy Pelosi claims “Smears” against Health Reform

August 28th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has launched an urgent effort to raise $100,000 by Monday to help combat what she calls GOP “smears” about health care reform.

“Republican opponents of reform are coming out with one outrageous smear after the next, all aimed at derailing our progress. We must be able to counter their special interest-funded attacks and set the record straight,” Pelosi wrote in a letter to Democratic supporters.

Smears? What smears? All you have to do is actually READ this piece of crap and you will see that everyone against it has the TRUTH.

“That’s why I have set a goal of raising $100,000 in grassroots donations before the August FEC fundraising deadline,” says Pelosi.

Pelosi and Democrats are clearly worried that they’ve lost momentum on health care reform this month, and many in her caucus have been crushed by opposition at town hall events. Of course! What did she expect? Americans to just sit by and let yet another piece of legislation get jammed down our collective throats? People are coming out in droves from every walk of life, political party to fight this drival and keep our freedom.

Pelosi’s appeal is aimed at small donors, and she asks for donations of $5 or more in her letter.

Democrats for weeks have been on the defensive, accusing Republicans of mischaracterizing their reform effort. President Barack Obama fired back several weeks ago after Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), a key Republican negotiator on the Senate Finance Committee, said the Democratic push threatened to “pull the plug on grandma.”

Now, Pelosi is pushing back.

“Republicans are doing everything they can to spread the lies they hope will kill health insurance reform,” Pelosi writes at the end of the e-mail. “Please make a generous financial contribution to help Democrats get the truth out and fight GOP smears.”

Again, maybe she should read the Bill and wake up to the fact that the detractors are actually telling the TRUTH.

White House Turning Into The KGB

August 8th, 2009 by Rich Szabo

People are being asked by the government to report people who they talk to that oppose healthcare reform. In other words the government is asking Americans to spy on other Americans and report them if their views are different than the president’s views.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/blog/Facts-Are-Stubborn-Things/

The whitehouse website states: “If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.”

Did you ever believe that this day would come in America? Suddenly opposing the president isn’t patriotic, as it was when Bush was the president. Now if you oppose the president, the government is asking that you be reported for simply debating the issues with another citizen.

Obama has drawn a line in the sand, he has defined his enemy and his enemy is anybody who opposes a government takeover of the healthcare industry. One can judge a person by the company he keeps and Barack Obama is no exception. He has aligned himself with radicals all of his life and because of that we can label him a radical. But you can also measure a person by who he calls his enemies and with this website page Barack Obama has called over 50% of Americans his enemy.

What are they going to do? Send the KGB to our homes and arrest us? Then stick us in a Gulag for the rest of our lives?

We cannot stand for his Orwellian policies any longer, it is time to stand up. Barack Obama is trying to marginalize and intimidate those who do not agree with him. It is now more important than ever to stand up and tell the president that those who oppose him are not going away because of a simple intimidation tactic, if anything this should galvanize us against such fascistic behavior. It is time to take our country back!

Call, email, write and TURN YOURSELF IN!

Obam’s Healthcare Fiasco

July 21st, 2009 by Rich Szabo

The White House has launched a new phase of its strategy designed to pass Obamacare: all Obama, all the time. As part of that effort, Obama hosted a conference call with leftist bloggers urging them to pressure Congress to pass his health plan as soon as possible.

During the call, a blogger from Maine said he kept running into an Investors Business Daily article that claimed Section 102 of the House health legislation would outlaw private insurance. He asked: “Is this true? Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?” President Obama replied: “You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about.” (quote begins at 17:10)

This is a truly disturbing admission by Obama, especially considering that later in the call, Obama promises yet again: “If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.” How can Obama keep making this promise if he is not familiar with the health legislation that is being written in Congress? Details matter.

The House bill does not outright outlaw private individual health insurance, but it does effectively regulate it out of existence. The House bill does allow private insurance to be sold, but only “Exchange-participating health benefits plans.” In order to qualify as an “Exchange-participating health benefits plan,” all health insurance plans must conform to a bunch of new regulations, including community rating and guaranteed issue. These will all send the cost of private individual health insurance skyrocketing. Furthermore, all these new regulations would not apply just to individual insurance plans, but to all insurance plans. So the House bill will also drive up the cost of your existing employer coverage as well. Until, of course, it becomes so expensive that your company makes the perfectly economical decision to dump you into the government plan.

* Approximately 103 million people would be covered under the new public plan and, as a consequence, about 83.4 million people would lose their private insurance. This would represent a 48.4 percent reduction in the number of people with private coverage.
* About 88.1 million workers would see their current private, employer-sponsored health plan go away and would be shifted to the public plan.
* Yearly premiums for the typical American with private coverage could go up by as much as $460 per privately-insured person, as a result of increased cost-shifting stemming from a public plan modeled on Medicare.

So King Barry is no better than those on the Hill that just sign things without reading them! It is also an “out” for Obama in case the bill fails. By admitting now that he is unaware of parts of the bill (especially the parts that upset most people), if the bill should fail, Obama could say that he had nothing to do with this part. It’s just good politics!

Saying “not familiar” well isn’t that presidential! How “familiar” are the congressmen? or the public? Yet they want to ram healthcare down the throats of hard working American, to fund the “not so hard working” people, including illegal occupants, tax our children to death, destroy the best parts of our healthcare system, and put everyone on a system similar to worker’s comp. Well I hope everyone likes the treatment they get with worker’s comp, because that is the treatments being proposed. If you don’t like it, go to Canada for treatment. oops. They don’t have a better system, now they won’t be able to come here either. How about this for a “change” ?

I am absolutely amazed that Obama took more time in considering what breed of dog to get for a family pet than the time he is allowing Congress to consider this HUGE National Health Care bill. His audacity is absolutely amazing.

NOW is the time for the Republican Party to capitalize on this mess! They need to become vocal and SHOW THE PROOF that Obama is lying and the Hill is trying to turn us into a Socialist Society! How can Investors Business Daily make all of this information public and the House Republicans and Senate Republicans just sit there twiddling their thumbs? THIS is the information that you should be walking all over this so called, “American Born” excuse for a President with!

But I won’t hold my breath waiting for the Republican Party to do anything. It’s up to We the People to make a difference. Call, write, email your Congressmen and tell the what you think.
